Kelly Slater's mom is insisting her son's relationship with Cameron Diaz is anything but romantic. Momma Slater shook her finger at those irresponsible media people who are jumping to conclusions:

"They have been friends for a long time. Every time somebody sees somebody else eating dinner, they think it is a romantic thing. It's silly. She just called him and asked if she could come over for a few days. It was nothing they had planned."

But you all know, often a week on an island can push a friendship just a lil deeper. They are totally doin it.
