Shwayze's On The Phone

Just before Shwayze took off for their current tour we happened to nail 'em down for a phone call and discuss all the killer stuff they have going on right now. Their new album Let It Beat debuted in the iTunes top ten, their Party Rock Tour with LMFAO is one giant great party, and basically everything going on is just plain fun. Soundtracked. Have a listen.

Add the new one from The Bravery to your music collection. If you can.

Add the new one from The Bravery to your music collection. If you can.

The Bravery has a new album coming out on December 1st and another song is available for download. That's what they say but I can't figure out how. The album is called Stir The Blood and the song is called The Spectator. If you figure out how to download it tell me!

Oh yeah, it's right here.

Say 'ding dong' at the door

Say 'ding dong' at the door

Last weekend Metric and Silversun Pickups played a secret party in SF at the legendary North Beach club Bimbos. 'Ding Dong' was the password. As usual Emily Haines stole the show, and hearts of every guy there.

Great time for all.

Fletcher from Pennywise doesn't support chopping goats legs off or burning live pigs

Fletcher from Pennywise doesn't support chopping goats legs off or burning live pigs

I guess militaries around the world use pigs, goats and monkeys to train medics. The practice is called 'trauma and chemical casualty training.' Training exercises include "shooting, stabbing, and burning live pigs; cutting goats' legs off with sharp shears; and poisoning monkeys with toxic chemicals," according to Alt Sounds.

I absolutely nothing on the topic and would never jump to conclusions, but supposedly new and more effective methods of training exist today, and all it takes is a push for militaries to adopt the technology. A group of artists have signed on to support the campaign. You can read more about it here.

Judge Stops Remaining Sublime Members From Using Name

Judge Stops Remaining Sublime Members From Using Name

Bud and Eric and Rome will not be called Sublime anymore. After their one and only show (minus the pub gig under the S*blime name) at Smokeout a few weeks ago, the band will need to continue under a new name, according to a legal ruling issued this week.

The ruling cites the trademark and ownership of the band's name to founding member and principal songwriter Bradley Nowell, who requested the brand not continue under a band not containing himself. The family of bradley issued a statement stating "Prior to his untimely passing, both Bud and Eric acknowledged that Brad Nowell was the sole owner of the name Sublime."

The Los Angeles judge overseeing the case ruled a band using the "Sublime" name and trademark for live performances, recordings, or merchandise is not legal under trademark laws.

The Following Presentation Is A Paid Advertisement By Weezer

Looks so warm and oh so not something I want to be stuck inside. But funny none-the-less and quite a crafty little souvenir. Here is the OFFICIAL 'Weezer Snuggie' Infomercial.

Dress like the Kings Of Leon

Dress like the Kings Of Leon

Kings of Leon care about their image. They're dressed pretty sharply at every show. Considering you like flannel. The band has partnered with French designers Surface To Air on a small line that will not exactly be carried in 8,000 Target stores, but exclusively in a shop in Denmark.

The KOL flannel isn't cheap. The shirts will run up your tab by about 120 Euros each. Guess where the bandanas are priced? Full line here.
