Coachella 2010 line-up announced. Jay-Z, Muse, Gorillaz headlining

The Coachella 2010 line-up has been announced for you festival goers. This year we have headliners of Jay-Z, Muse, and the Gorillaz. Message board fixtures are currently buried in conflict over Jay as a headliner. This is a religious battle. "I dont want to hear big pimpin at coachella. ever," says guy one. And guy two - "the only headliner I'm truly pumped for. Growing up to Hovas music".

Other interesting names on the bill include Julian Casablancas, Public Image Ltd., Vampire Weekend, Hockey, Passion Pit, MGMT, Devo, Gossip, the XX, Beach House, Miike Snow, The Big Pink, Grizzly Bear, and so many others.

Oh yeah last thing: the venue is allowing car camping, and in's and out's. In's and out's. You hear that? In's and out's.

Dates of the festival are April 16-17-18.

Death Cab pays tribute to John Hughes

The song "Don't You (Forget About Me)" is well associated with John Hughes. Richard Butler of the Psychedelic Furs (Pretty in Pink) wrote the track, which eventually found it's way into the hands of Simple Minds; after Billy Idol turned it down. It became a piece of teen history when Hughes soundtracked the closing scene of The Breakfast Club. As Mr. Vernon read "we accept the fact that we had to sacrifice a whole saturday in detention for whatever it is we did wrong, but we think you're crazy for making us write an essay telling you who we think we are... what we found out, is that each one of us is a brain, and an athlete, and a basketcase, a princess, and a criminal."

Death Cab For Cutie performed "Don't You (Forget About Me)" in a tribute to John Hughes at the Critics' Choice Movie Awards last week. Check it out.
