Sublime's new singer Rome has posted a new collaborative song he did with Huntington Beach band The Dirty Heads. It's called 'Lay Me Down'. Some classic So Cal hip-hop reggae and it's great.

Check it out in Rome's MySpace right here.

One album to buy right now: The Dirty Heads 'Any Port In A Storm'

Last night we caught Huntington Beach reggae hip-hop band The Dirty Heads in Santa Cruz. The show was a blast. Our friends in Dirty Penny and The Expendables were there holding it down for their hometown. I'm still trying to shake lingering effects of how much fun we had right now. My brain is usually the first victim of a night at the Catalyst.

So yeah anyways, DH brings it. SoCal hip-hop reggae with a vibe that almost takes me back to the early '90s Sublime-era dub rock. Different sound, similar feeling. The band
is fronted by Duddy and Jared, who trade off on vocals. All good vocalists need a hype man, right?

DH will be spending this summer on Warped Tour; If you're planning on catching the festival make sure you mark this band as one to see that day.

We can easily recommend DH's most recent album Any Port In A Storm. The cheapest I found was $7.99 at Amazon.
